SERC have been shortlisted a prestigious CIPD Northern Ireland HR Award. The Awards celebrate the contribution of HR and People Management in business and identify organisations and practices that are championing better work and working lives.
The College has been shortlisted in the Best Remote and Flexible and Working Initiative category.
Victoria Boyce, Senior HR Business Partner said, "We are delighted to be shortlisted for the Award. Our submission detailed how SERC responded to the challenge brought about by COVID-19. During that period, we proved that staff and students could work agilely, and during lockdown the College management encouraged and embraced an adaptive, flexible approach to working online, supporting staff to help alleviate pressures experienced through home schooling, caring responsibilities, and shielding. It is this flexible approach to work with the use of technology that SERC has been able to respond and ensure delivery of service across the College was maintained. This has led to the introduction of a new home working policy as of April 2021."
Winners will be announced at a gala lunch on Thursday 7 October at the Crowne Plaza, Shaws Bridge.
