Nominations for Students’ Union Officer Elections are now open but are closing on 8 October. This is a great opportunity to get involved with the Students’ Union on your campus.  

The SU has several Officer roles available on each campus, including: 

  • Campus President Activities Officer 
  • Welfare Officer 
  • Eco/Environmental Officer
  • Equality & Diversity Officer 
  • Higher Education Officer 
  • LGBTQ+ Officer 
  • Trans Officer
  • Women’s Officer  
  • Disability Officer   
  • Black & Ethnic Minorities Officer (BAEM) 

Each campus will elect an individual for each role. The successful candidates will form the Students’ Union Leadership Team.

Responsibilities of SU Officer include:

  • Undertaking of training to prepare for the role     
  • Attendance at SU meetings      
  • Working closely with the Student Engagement Team Attendance at all internal and external events including leading delegations to NUS USI conferences
  • Driving the planning and development of student-led clubs and societies, campaigns, events etc
