SERC PPE Testimonials

The SERC Enterprise and Entrepreneurship team have been coordinating the sourcing, collection and distribution of PPE from all over SERC. Many of SERC’s staff pulled together during this time of uncertainty and high demand for PPE by raiding their classrooms, workshops and storage cupboards for anything we could donate.
The Enterprise team then got in contact with local care homes, to find out their need for PPE and to see how SERC could help. The team then collected all the PPE from the SERC campuses to create packages to deliver to care homes across the South Eastern region.
A total of 34 care homes became the beneficiaries of the incredible efforts, with a total of 19,000 gloves, 2,400 aprons, 60 pieces of eye protection, 240 masks and much more, including rain ponchos which were kindly donated by Visit Belfast, that can be used in the event of an apron shortage.
Some of those who have received PPE from the college have reached out to say thanks.
