South Eastern Regional College (SERC) attended Action Cancer’s Gala Ball and scooped an award for fundraising efforts. In conjunction with Huhtamaki, SERC won second highest amount raised in one the day, and third overall prize for funds raised.

Over the summer of 2019, trainees from Training for Success projects, led by Technical Support Officer, Rosie McMullan, raised over £500 for Action Cancer at SERC’s Lisburn Campus.

Barbara McNeill, Head of School, Training Organisation at SERC said, “Trainees participated in several activities including bag packs and street collections. This money contributed to the overall amount raised for the Action Cancer Big Challenge Shop Event ‘19. This year, Huhtamaki also fundraised at Action Cancer’s Lisburn boutique and the total for Lisburn reached an amazing £5000.”

SERC’s Christine Crangle, Training Support Officer and Barbara McNeill, Head of School, Training Organisation accepted awards on behalf of the College.
