SERC Enterprise Skills Academy

The programme aims to inspire, encourage and empower participants to consider self-employment and entrepreneurship as career options. The programme is designed to equip you with the essential knowledge to set up your own business. 

During the programme you will: 

• Take part in an exciting 8-week course (3.5hrs per week online and in person sessions, including networking opportunities and events). 
• Receive mentor support throughout the programme. 
• Meet new people and develop your own support networks in your local area. 
• Develop skills in teamwork, problem solving, presenting and pitching your ideas. 
• Learn about setting up your own business and how to access funding. 
• Learn from local entrepreneurs and businesspeople.  
• Take part in a group Dragon's Den style pitching competition.
