Earlier in the year we featured a story on our website Swift Action by SERC Apprentice Helps Save a Life  featuring SERC apprentice, Niall McConnell, whose quick thinking and administering of CPR helped save a life.

Niall, (20), from Clogher in Co Tyrone, now a Level 3 Construction Plant apprentice based at SERC’s Lisburn Campus, was working on site for employer, Pat O’Donnell & Co (Portadown), distributors of Volvo Construction Equipment, at Kilroot Power Station in Carrickfergus, when he helped save the life of a man who had suffered a cardiac arrest at the wheel of a lorry.

Niall has been shortlisted for an Armagh I People of the Year Award under the Rescue Champion of the Year category, which is open to a public vote, so please take two minutes to vote for Niall by 31 December 2022.

Good Luck Niall!
