Freshers’ Fortnight returned to the more familiar format ‘on campus’ this year at SERC to the delight of students, staff and visiting organisations.

Anna Leahy, Student Engagement Officer said, “There was a definite buzz of excitement around the College campuses as we hosted our first face-to-face event since January 2020."

She added, “We expanded activities by using a blend of in-person and online events which helped us engage with over 1500 students who were able to find out about a range of SERC and local services, charities and organisations – from volunteering opportunities to local clubs, to part time job opportunities.  Our Freshers’ Fortnight could not have been possible without their support and we would like to thank them for meeting students face-to-face for the first time this year.”

Ross Currie, Student Engagement Officer said, “Special thanks also to Inspire Students for hosting breakout sessions alongside the main exhibitions, and of course to SERC students for attending Freshers’ Fortnight and making it such a success!”
