Results Day Success for Bangor Campus Students

South Eastern Regional College is celebrating the success of hundreds of students who have received outstanding BTEC qualifications following one of the most challenging years.

Many students had extra reason to celebrate by achieving triple distinction stars (D*D*D*) which is the equivalent to 3 A* grades at A Level.   Student success included:

Pic 1 (L – R) Level 3 Extended Diploma in Applied Science students, Sara Hamilton (Bangor) achieved Double Star Distinction and is heading to Ulster University to  study Marine Biology whilst classmate Naara Araujo (Bangor)  achieved Triple Distinction Stars  and is heading to Queen’s University Belfast to do a BSc in Microbiology; BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management student  Billie  Karen Mooney (Newtownards) achieved Triple Distinction Stars  and is heading to the University of Cumbria to do a BSc in Zoology; John Condron,(Belfast) achieved Triple Distinction Stars on the BTEC level 3 Extended Diploma in Music and is progressing to the HND in Music Technology in SERC.  

Pic 2 (L – R) Rory Gilmore (Bangor) achieved Triple Distinction Stars on the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music Technology and has a scholarship offer to do Electronic Music Production and Sound Engineering with Point Blank Music School in London.   Rory, who is well known on the local music scene, has deferred his studies and plans to take a year out; fellow student John Condron, Belfast John Condron, (Belfast) achieved Triple Distinction Stars on the BTEC level 3 Extended Diploma in Music and is progressing to the HND in Music Technology with SERC.
