Refreshers Fairs Round Up at SERC

SERC Students’ Union and Careers Services Refreshers Fairs recently hosted at Bangor, Downpatrick, Lisburn Campuses reminded students of the range of services and opportunities which are beneficial to them and their wellbeing, and available through the College and the local community.

Newtownards Refreshers Fair has been rescheduled for 13 March due to circumstances beyond our control.

The start of the new year presented a great opportunity to welcome our students back on campus and helped them to reconnect with one another and their local communities. We were delighted to have representatives from local businesses and employers who were keen to speak to students about career opportunities, as well as showcasing volunteering opportunities in the community, which can help our students give back, build their confidence, skills and to support their wellbeing.

The Fairs hosted many exhibitors including, St John Ambulance, Armed Forces, NI Screen, McAleer & Rushe, Simon Community, Balloo Hire Centres, Autism Initiatives, First Derivative, MJM Marine, Translink, Papyrus and Labour Market Partnership.  

The College’s Student Finance, Careers, Student Carers and Students’ Union were also present for information, support, and advice.
