Past SERC Student Andrew Gives Talk to Construction Students

As part of the talk Andrew gave to students, he outlined his educational path at SERC - how he progressed from the Level 3 Construction and the Built Environment course to the HNC in Construction and the Built Environment at SERC Bangor Campus, to presently completing his Degree in Construction Site Management at Ulster University, which he will be graduating from in June 2023. 

Andrew also outlined the work he has been doing as a trainee site engineer with Farrans, a building and civil engineering contractor throughout the UK and Ireland. He covered what he had to do on site in relation to surveying, checking quality of materials being delivered to a site, as well as overseeing health and safety measures that are required for working. Andrew then answered questions from the students giving them a better understanding of one of the pathways they can take with their SERC course.
