Jodi Hanna is studying towards her business dream on the Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) BSc Business Management Degree, delivered at SERC’s Bangor Campus.

Jodi (20) from Ballyroney, just outside Banbridge, completed her GCSEs and A Levels at Dromore High School before progressing to SERC. After speaking to the tutors at the College about the business courses available, Jodi decided SERC was the right option for her ambitions.

Speaking about the degree programme, Jodi said, “The range of modules on the course highlights the different areas of business and keeps it interesting. You get a broad understanding of areas in which you might want to specialise, and it means you have plenty of options for employment or further study."

“It's really nice being in a smaller class size than you would expect in a university setting. There's more time to get support from the tutors if you need it and I have found all the tutors very helpful. On successful completion, I will have a BSc in Business Management awarded by LJMU as we follow the exact same rigorous programme of study as students based in Liverpool.   It’s great that I can travel from home to Bangor to complete the degree."

“I’d definitely recommend for people to have a look at what is on offer at SERC if they want to study higher education. I think there’s a lot of pressure on people to just go to university but if university life isn’t for you, then SERC’s a great option.”

Find out how you can unlock your future with SERC. Come along to our Open Evening for Full Time students from 4.00pm – 7.00pm on Wednesday 8 March 2023 at the College’s Bangor, Downpatrick, Lisburn and Newtownards Campuses.
