Online Turnitin Training

Turnitin is an A.I. writing detection technology that helps educators uphold academic integrity and grade student work. Turnitin produces similarity reports to compare student work against existing sources and now includes a new A.I. Indicator tool.

Feel free to attend one or both sessions to learn how to utilise Turnitin through Moodle and/or MS Teams to help support academic integrity.

This course is ideal if you deliver any level 3 or above programmes in SERC or you are currently studying for a recognised qualification as your assignments will almost certainly go through Turnitin. You'll feel more confident to have conversations with students in regard to academic integrity and better understanding how your work will be checked by Turnitin.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• Create Turnitin drop boxes in Teams & Moodle
• Access the MS Teams app - enabling AI Indicator functionality within MS Teams assignments
• Generate & understand Turnitin similarity report
• Review the AI Writing Indicator tool to assist in considering if written work has content potentially generated by Artificial Intelligence
• Use the marking facility within Turnitin

2 sessions; Please feel free to attend one or both sessions, depending on whether you work with assignments in Moodle or MS Teams.
