Megan’s Brave the Shave Fundraiser a Success

Megan Dyer, a Level 3 Food and Beverage student at SERC and SU Class Rep, recently shaved her head to raise money for charity. Megan’s incredible efforts raised a total of £695 for The Mental Health Foundation.

The Mental Health Foundation is the charity behind Mental Health Awareness Week. Helping people understand, protect and sustain their mental health, the charity aims to drive change towards a mentally healthy society for all, and seeks to support communities, families and individuals to live mentally healthier lives, with a particular focus on those at greatest risk.

Speaking about her fundraising, Megan said “This charity helps people around the UK with their mental health, makes them feel more positive and provides them with the right support needed in difficult times. The fundraiser went very well - we were able to raise an amazing £695 which I am so grateful for. Thank you to all those who donated to this fantastic cause.”
