Meet Your SU Campus President- Jade Gray- Newtownards

What course are you studying?

I’m studying the Level 3 Children’s Care Learning and Development course on the Ards campus.

What three words best describe you?

Hardworking, enthusiastic and determined.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I enjoy singing and have been part of many theatre groups over the years.

If you could have anyone’s job for a day who would it be and why?

I’d want to be a coordinator for a large international English language summer camp for the day. Having already been a qualified English teacher in Spain I’d like to be involved in all the fun of organizing one of these programs.

What made you want to run for campus president?

I wanted to run for President as I wanted a challenge, since I finished school I’d never stopped learning and had constantly been doing courses and I like to push myself to realise my full potential.

What impact do you hope to have?

The impact I want to have is to leave a lasting impact and impression at SERC and to give students and faculty events to look forward to this year despite the challenges and unprecedented times we are facing this year.

What are you looking forward to most from your term?

This term I am looking forward to (hopefully) getting back on campus and conducting a series of SU drop ins to meet my fellow students at Ards and beginning planning for next terms events and implementing ideas to improve the student life at SERC!
