Six SERC Students in the WorldSkillsUK finals

Six students and apprentices from SERC recently competed in the national WorldSkillsUK Finals, 14 -18 November which were in hosted in Northern Ireland, England and Scotland.

Recognised as the ‘Olympics for Skills’, the students put their specialist area knowledge and skills against the clock and their peers from across the UK.   The results of the WorldSkillsUK National Finals and the Medal Ceremony will take place 4.00pm -5.00pm on Friday 25 November via an online event to which you are all invited!   Click here to follow the link to log on

We are immensely proud of all the students and apprentices who have taken part in all stages of the competitions, from Regional Heats right through to the National Finals.   They have shown dedication and commitment and they should be proud of everything they have achieved to date for themselves.

Jonny Hamilton (Bangor) Level 3 Fire Systems Apprentice at Lisburn Campus employed by Atlas World – Fire Systems and Security

David Fairley (Dromore) Level 3 Carpentry and Joinery Apprentice at Lisburn Campus employed by Heaney Interiors – Joinery

Andrew Reain (Dromara) Level 3 Plumbing Apprentice at Lisburn Campus employed by Vincent Cunningham Contractors - Plumbing
