International Women's Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women's achievements or rally for women's equality. 

Marked annually on March 8th, IWD is one of the most important days of the year to: 

  • Celebrate women's achievements 
  • Educate and raise awareness on women's equality 
  • Call for positive changes advancing women 
  • Lobby for accelerated gender parity 
  • Fundraise for female-focused charities

Aligning Your Business with Your Values Workshop 

The SERC Entrepreneur Club is hosting an ‘Aligning Your Business with Your Values’ workshop by Dr Patricia O’ Lynn, who is a skilled researcher, political activist, education consultant and committee chair with her education in Social Science and Law.  The workshop takes place on Wednesday 6 March 2024 from 2pm to 3pm at SERC’s Bangor Campus (Central Hall) and will also be live streamed. Millbrook Lodge Menopause Event 

South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust are hosting an International Women’s Day Menopause event on Wednesday 6 March 2024 at the Millbrook Lodge, Ballynahinch with doors opening at 6.00 pm, no booking required.
