Facebook Digital Skills Training- SERC Bangor

SERC are hosting Digital Skills Training from BuzzStart Academy in partnership with Facebook at the College’s Bangor Campus.

This FREE Workshop is coming to SERC's Bangor Campus on Thursday 5th September from 9:00am-1:00pm and will give you the skills you need to prosper and thrive in today’s digital world.

This four hour interactive skills-based workshop will cover two specific modules:

1. Innovation

You will work in groups and:

• Learn and utilise industry insider design and innovative practices
• Learn and study a customer persona, Nicole
• Define Nicole’s core problem
• Ideate a tech solution for Nicole’s problem
• Wireframe and prototype the tech solution
• Build a minimum viable app
• Pitch your tech solution
• Develop soft skills including collaboration, empathy and creativity

2. Social Media Marketing

You will work in groups and:

• Learn and utilise industry tips for best social marketing practice
• Define your purpose from a select business idea brief
• Define your core target audience with Facebook’s Audience Insights tool
• Use industry frameworks to devise and manage a social strategy
• Design and mind map content for your advertising campaign
• Study successful global case studies in best social marketing practice
• Design and build your Facebook advertising campaign
• Learn, understand and apply key analytical metrics for success  

By attending this workshop you will obtain a Facebook certification.
