South Eastern Regional College (SERC) recently welcomed Economy Minister Gordon Lyons to the College as he carried out a series of visits in Bangor and Donaghadee.

The first stop on the Minister’s series of visits was at Space, the college’s Performing Arts, Computing and Engineering facility, where he met staff, students and some college businesses.

Minister Lyons commented: “I was very pleased to visit Bangor and Donaghadee and engage with an interesting and varied range of business, education and tourism organisations and ventures.

“SPACE at SERC’s Bangor campus, opened in 2015, was the result of a £11.6million investment by my Department and includes industry-standard, state-of-the-art learning facilities that are accessible to all. SPACE is equipping learners with the skills they need for the key local engineering, IT and creative industry sectors, and aligns well with my Department’s 10X Economic Vision for a decade of innovation.”
