Downpatrick campus hosts fundraiser for Macmillan Cancer Support

SERC's Downpatrick campus have recently taken part in Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Macmillan Cancer Support is one of the largest UK based charities which provide specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer.

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event of the year with hundreds of people hosting their own Coffee Mornings and donations big and small.   

To date £21,672,817 has been raised.

With some very tasty tray bakes, tea and coffee and some great friends, staff raised a total of £310 for the charity.

SERC Downpatrick Campus Manager Paul Walsh said “Many of our staff members will meet for a tea or coffee everyday so raising money at the same time for a truly worthwhile cause is even better. I thank all the staff who organised this event and all those who donated.”
