Level 3 Creative Media students from SERC's Lisburn campus recently received an in depth talk from BBC presenter Joe Lindsay about what it is really like to work in the creative industry.

Joe has a wealth of experience in both television and radio from research to idea development, production and presenting. Joe’s career stretches even further into the creative industry as he is also involved in music and the arts as a DJ, promoter and theatrics performer.

Joe currently presents the BBC show 'Getaways' and is a presenter on the One Show for their Northern Ireland features. He has also presented and created several shows for BBC Radio Ulster with his latest, a feature on the history of music tribalism in Northern Ireland airing this June.

Liane Radcliffe, SERC Deputy Head of School for Performing and Creative Arts said, “I would like to thank Joe for taking the time out of his busy schedule to come and speak to our class. Having someone with such a rich experience in the creative industry speak to our students is invaluable and will help them chose the next steps in their budding careers in the industry.”

Applications are now open for SERC’s Creative Media courses. Click here for more information
