Creative Media Students Welcome Cool Visit from DJ Hix

DJ Hix recently visited South Eastern Regional College Lisburn Campus where he had chat with Level 3 Creative Media students.

A voice that can be heard on the Cool FM and Kiss FM airwaves, DJ Hix talked to the students about his successful career as a radio presenter, which was helpful, insightful, and inspirational to the students, not least to those who are aspiring radio presenters themselves.

He also spoke about his DJ’ing career that saw him win Club DJ of the Year 2011 Fate Awards as well as supporting many of the world’s top names in concert including David Guetta, Tiesto, Calvin Harris, 50 Cent, Rihanna and more.

The next generation of media professionals were also inspired as Hix spoke to them about his new music career. He told the class about his love for making music and how during the covid-19 lockdown he took the opportunity to start concentrating on his music production, which led to a major record label deal with Warner records. Hix took the opportunity to tell the class about the importance of networking, but above all having a passion for what you’re doing.
