Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) Business Studies students from SERC's Bangor campus have recently welcomed back former student Carlos Torres to learn about the exciting opportunities for graduates at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
Since graduating in 2015, Carlos has since become a Business Analyst at PwC after enrolling on their graduate scheme where the skills and professional qualifications gained during his time at SERC helped him secure full-time employment.
Carlos delivered a presentation to students about the wide variety of different graduate schemes offered by PwC across the world which give recent graduates first-hand experience working on real life business tasks allowing them to gain valuable experience. Carlos also explained the application process as well as what life is like at PwC.
Carlos’s brother, Emilio, is currently enrolled with SERC on the LJMU BA Business Studies course after witnessing first-hand the opportunities his brother has had thanks to his time SERC.
Jenny McConnell, SERC Deputy Head of School for the School of Hospitality, Management, Tourism and Languages said “It is wonderful to see former students succeeding following their time with SERC. Carlos is one of many students whose hard work and determination to succeed has certainly paid off securing a much sought-after position with a world class company. Students will no doubt been inspired following Carlos’s visit.”
