A SERC employee has been recognised at the International Learning Technologies Awards.  

Bangor man, Gareth Compton, Head of Digital Media, who has worked at SERC for 20 years, received the Bronze Award for Learning Developer of the Year.  

Winners were announced at a ceremony held at the Park Plaza, Westminster Bridge Hotel in London.   Gareth said “I’m delighted to have received this accolade. I couldn’t have done this without the support of the team - we are constantly seeking effective and efficient ways to progress projects, as well as creating innovative and customised resources for the benefit of students and staff and for the advancement of the College’s strategy.”

Dr Michael Malone, Director of Curriculum at SERC said, “We are delighted that Gareth is a recipient of this prestigious Award which recognises his commitment, enthusiasm and passion for learning technologies across the world.”  

The Learning Technologies Awards is the leading awards scheme in the industry. The judging process is led and co-ordinated by the eLearning Network, based on a team of judges drawn from leading professionals in learning and development.
