South Eastern Regional College (SERC) is set to welcoming hundreds of prospective students and their parents to their online open evenings for full-time courses starting in September 2021 at Bangor, Downpatrick, Lisburn and Newtownards campuses. Open evenings will take the format of webinars from 4.30pm to 8.00pm, on Monday 23 November until Thursday 26 November, with dedicated teams online ready to meet those progressing next autumn to Higher Education, Further Education, Apprenticeships and Training programmes.

Ken Webb, Principal and Chief Executive at SERC said, “It is vital that potential students have access to all the information they need to make informed choices about routes for post 16 further education, post 18 higher education, training and apprenticeship programmes. It’s crucial to explore all options and be prepared to make informed decisions about future study and employment and our online open evenings offer you the first steps to planning ahead.”

He added, “The team at SERC is dedicated to preparing the next generation of professionals to support the Northern Ireland Economy.”

SERC offers courses from Level 1 through to Level 6 covering subjects from health and social care to animal care, applied science to manufacturing engineering, public services to food and beverage service, IT to music technology as well as a full range of training and apprenticeship options.

Potential students should register to attend online webinars by visiting Online Open Evenings; on the day of their chosen webinar, they will meet course teams, hear about specific courses, and have the opportunity to take part in private live chats with lecturing staff. You can also access recorded webinars with information and support from the College’s Student Finance, Learning Support, and the Students’ Union teams.

SERC’s in-house Careers team provides an impartial and confidential service - available to everyone in the community - to help young people and adults to make informed choices about their future career and next step. Email careers@serc.ac.uk to arrange a virtual or telephone appointment.
