Further Education Open Days at SERC

For students getting their GCSE results this Thursday 22 August, we will be hosting our further education open days at Bangor, Downpatrick, Lisburn and Newtownards Campuses at SERC from 9am to 5pm on Thursday 22 August and 9am to 3pm on Friday 23 August.

If you haven’t applied on a course, you can still apply online for course commencing this September.  Call into the College this Thursday or Friday to speak to tutors about programmes you might be interested in from Apprenticeships, Diplomas and Extended Diplomas in a range of subject areas and apply on the day.   Our Careers team will be on hand for those who are undecided about their next step.

Results Day Live Stream on Facebook

BBC Northern Ireland will be hosting GCSE Results….What next? from our Lisburn Campus live on Facebook at 11.00am on Thursday 22 August: https://www.facebook.com/BBCNI/

You can ask the panel of careers and GCSE experts - including Ruth Annett from SERC’s Careers Team and Jonny Kidd from Student Finance (who will be online to answer questions about student finance) - anything you like about what to do next.   The programme will be hosted by BBC Northern Ireland’s Linzi Lima.

Careers Advice at SERC

Make an appointment to see a Careers Advisor SERC Careers Advisors will be available by appointment at the College’s Bangor, Downpatrick, Lisburn and Newtownards Campuses from 9am-4pm from Monday 19 August to Wednesday 21 August.  To make an appointment, please email careers@serc.ac.uk or call the College on 0345 600 7555 and ask for the careers team at the nearest campus.  

Call in to a Drop-in Session on Results Days

The Careers Team will also be available on a drop-in basis on GCSE results days from 9am to 5pm on Thursday 22 August and 9am to 3pm on Friday 23 August.
