Get your walking boots at the ready and join Autism NI in the famous Welsh hills this September as they conquer Mount Snowdon. Local supporters are encouraged to sign up for the charity’s first trek to the highest mountain in Wales and raise vital funds for their services.

Autism NI Fundraising Officer Madeleine Knowles said: “We are so excited to launch our first ever trek to Snowdon! Treks are a great way to meet new people, visit new places and have a once in a lifetime experience, so we would love for as many people as possible to take on the challenge and join us this September.

The trek will take place across the weekend of 25th – 27th September 2020 and we are asking local people to take part and support the charity by raising £500, along with a £150 registration fee.

“Sign up for our first ever Trek Snowdon and you’ll be supporting a very worthy cause while having a lot of fun. For registration or any other enquiries, please contact events@autismni.org or call 028 9040 1729.”

All funds raised from Trek Snowdon will support Autism NI’s vital Helpline service which is invaluable to local families, individuals and professionals and supports over 4,900 individuals every year. Events like this are vital in the work the charity carries out and helps provide life-changing services and support to the 30,000 autistic individuals and their families in Northern Ireland.

Get your walking boots at the ready and join Mountain Leader Roger Duncan (Head of Pastoral Care, SERC Extra and Campus Manager Newtownards, SERC) and Lauren Cunningham from 25th-27th September to conquer Mount Snowdon. For further information about this event, please call 028 9040 1729 or visit www.autismni.org.
