A Trip Down Memory Lane

Can you help identify these mystery students?

Our friends at the Down Recorder printed a photograph this week which they have given us permission to reproduce.  It was taken in Down College of Further Education, long before it became one of the colleges that merged to form SERC.   The photograph, which dates from 1991, shows a group of students receiving their Basic Food Hygiene Certificates – still the first step for anyone working with food or food handling across many industries from hospitality and catering to care and food production.

We thought it would be interesting to see if anyone knows any of the students?  If they want to get in touch and let us know where they are in the photograph and what they are doing now, we would love to hear from them.  We calculate the students would now be in their 40s or early 50s, and maybe their own children are attending SERC?  We are not sure if any hospitality lecturers or technicians are in the photo but if you do spot someone please let us know.
