A Cut Above the Rest at SERC Hairdressing Intercampus Competition

Students from South Eastern Regional College (SERC) studying on the Level 3 NVQ Hairdressing course at SERC Bangor and Lisburn campuses, displayed their hair styling expertise at an intercampus competition held at Lisburn’s Revive Salon. 

Given the objective of creating an image based on the theme of ‘fantasy bride’, students raced against the clock to put their own spin on the creative brief, which incorporated hair styling, makeup, and costumes.  

The competition was judged by industry experts including Maria Strafford, Senior Sales Executive at Denman Brush, Stephen Hanna, Peter Mark Lisburn and Hairdressing Lecturer, and Patricia Strong, Patricia Strong Creatives.    

Lisburn student Stephen Clerkin won first place, Lisburn student Hannah Blackstock won second place, and Bangor student Amber Shephard won third place.
