Today we are looking at e -assessments.

E-assessments are an effective way to assess a student’s knowledge remotely and to show areas where they need improvement. This can be done through Moodle and Microsoft Teams easily.

For example, here is a video embedded in Moodle relating to Electrical Installation. Below the video are assessments and materials that can be used to remotely assess a student’s progress. Students can watch the video, then follow and answer the instructions and questions outlined in the e-assessment.

This is an easy to implement tool that can help you target areas of knowledge students need to improve on. It’s also a great way to provide as much resources as possible to students through the videos used, especially with an interactive assessment element.

If you want to learn more about how Microsoft Teams, Moodle or e-assessments can work for you and your students, please feel free to contact Stuart Rankin for a chat. Support can be provided by the Learning Academy mentors (contact them through the service desk or at learningacademy@serc.ac.uk)
