Success for Students Completing EOS Global Tech Skills Academy

The Department for the Economy's Assured Skills Academy is a 6-week pre-employment training programme which guarantees candidates a job interview on completion. SERC, in partnership with EOS IT Solutions, delivered the high-quality training in Global Tech Skills, which included areas such as Sales and Procurement, Import and Export, PRINCE2, Advanced Excel, Design Thinking, and Business Simulation.  

Participants celebrated a successful completion of the course with a graduation event on Tuesday the 4th of July. After their graduation, students were interviewed for posts with EOS IT Solutions, offering the opportunity to work in areas such as Inside Sales, Procurement, Order Management, Customs, Logistics, Project Management and Trade Compliance. 

Orla Bogue, who was one of the students on the programme, was hired as a project coordinator in the design department at EOS. Orla said, “I found the six weeks on the course a great foundation for starting my current role. I learnt very useful skills and lots of content covering areas I’m now working in. For me, my favourite part of the course was meeting with and spending six weeks with the other candidates. I’ve made friends with a great group of people who are now my colleagues at EOS. I would definitely recommend the course, I learnt so much and it’s been invaluable.”
