The College’s annual Enterprise Challenge Showcase got off on the right note with hundreds of students presenting their innovative, enterprising, and entrepreneurial ideas to an array of judges including representatives from business and industry.
Lizzie Buick, Deputy Head of Enterprise said, “There was a definite buzz of excitement in Bangor, Downpatrick, Lisburn and Newtownards Campuses as the students presented their project-based learning (PBL) ideas in a bid to secure a place in the eagerly anticipated Enterprise Showcase Final on 6th October 2021.”
“We were delighted to welcome judges from business, industry and our own academic and corporate teams who met with students in classrooms to give feedback on their ideas and presentations and submit scores. Ideas that were particularly innovative, entrepreneurial, eco-friendly or had a positive social impact were highlighted, as were students who had excelled with communication and presentations skills. Most importantly, all students had the opportunity to discuss any challenges, their solutions and to get instant feedback on their projects.”
She concluded, “Over the three days, judges reported being extremely impressed by the students’ solution focussed, creative effort, with work from each of the six schools showing a high-quality standard.”
