"Colleagues,

You may have heard on the news that the Minister for the Economy, Diane Dodds, has announced that it will not be possible to proceed with scheduled assessments and exams for vocational qualifications over the coming months.  The Minister’s statement is available at the link below.

We realise this is a stressful time for you and all our students and we are pushing for clarity and timely decisions from the Department for the Economy, and CCEA, who regulates the awarding of qualifications.  An email has also been sent to students (see below) and as the situation develops and more information becomes available about their qualification this will also be communicated to them.

It is important that students are encouraged to continue gathering evidence and participating in classes after the Easter break.  SERCs support for students will continue and I would like to thank you for your commitment to the achievement and success of our students.
