SERC's art and design students are hosting Unlocked, an exhibition of art, photography and video work, at Bangor’s Carnegie Library until 26 February 2022.
Now an annual event since 2015, in partnership with Libraries NI, this year’s exhibition entitled Unlocked has been organised by second year students from the Level 3 OCR Art and Design (Photography) course.
Photography Lecturer Mark Dale said, “This mid-year exhibition demonstrates the breadth of up-coming talent from SERC’s Art and Photography departments. The students have worked on a variety of projects and have produced original and individual pieces. The work displayed not only showcases the students’ skillsets in a range of media and techniques, but also the range of ideas and concepts they are encouraged to explore and develop as emerging artists, photographers, and designers.
He added, “Student exhibitions, such as Unlocked, are an excellent way of acquiring original, high-quality work at a very affordable price. In addition, 10% of sales will go to Marie Curie.”
The exhibition will feature work from Bangor Campus students on the OCR Level 3 Diploma Art and Design (Photography) Years 1 & 2; OCR Level 2 Diploma Art and Design (1 Year course); OCR Level 3 Diploma Art and Design (Year 2); EDEXCEL Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Art, Design and Media, and Downpatrick Campus students on the EDEXCEL Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Art, Design and Media courses.
