Bring Your Own Bag

The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) is consulting the NI public on changes to the policy on charges for carrier bags.  The Single Use Carrier Bags Charge Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2013 has proved effective in reducing the use of carrier bags across Northern Ireland by 73.2% over the past eight years and now DAERA wants to build on this and work to bring this figure down even more.

Please complete the online survey before the 27th of July to share your views.

Don't forget to 'bring your own bag' when you go shopping to help improve sustainability and save our natural resources.
