South Eastern Regional College (SERC) is open and continuing to welcome applicants for Higher Education, Further Education, Training for Success and Apprenticeship courses. To support any students affected by the delay in exam results or uncertain of their next step, SERC is continuing to enrol Monday-Friday from 9.30am to 3pm at Bangor, Downpatrick, Lisburn and Newtownards Campuses.
Heather McKee, Director of Strategic Planning, Quality and Support at SERC said,
“Our additional enrolment days have been organised in light of the delays around the issuing of results. We want to ensure that no student is disadvantaged any further. In tough times, which have added extra stress to the results period, SERC is here to support, advise and enrol applicants.
“Come in and see us; we have been working hard to make our campuses safe and as welcoming as always.”
If students know which subject area they wish to study, then when they arrive on campus a meeting with the lecturing staff will be arranged, consisting of a few questions and a skills test - ranging from an audition to a computer test, depending on the course. Successful students who meet the entry requirements will be guided through the process to enrol on the course.
For those students who are unsure of their next step, SERC’s Careers Advisors provide a professional, impartial, and confidential service, helping young people and adults make informed choices about their future career and the best route towards it. You will find full contact details on our website or you can email careers@serc.ac.uk, stating your nearest campus.
