SERC host Learning Resource Centre Sector Event

On Wednesday March 6, SERC Lisburn Campus hosted the annual Learning Resource Centre (LRC) Managers Event.  

This year JISC (Joint Information Systems Committee) invited team members from the Learning Resource Centre support staff from all Further Education colleges in Northern Ireland.   

David Greer, Learning Resource Centre Supervisor said, “It is recognised that LRC staff don’t get the opportunity to network with other Further Education colleges very often. This event was an excellent way to network and share ideas with other LRC staff from all areas of Northern Ireland.”   

“JISC also provided an overview of the resources that they offer with particular emphasis on Further Education and skills resources and how these in turn offer value, savings and efficiencies for colleges and how these will benefit not only our various organisations but our students as well.”   

There were opportunities to share success stories and discuss common challenges with LRC staff from other colleges.
