SERC has been shortlisted for an Irish News Workplace & Employment Award 2022.
Selected from hundreds of entries, the College has been shortlisted in the newly introduced Diversity, Equality and Inclusion category for a large business. This Award recognises the significant efforts of organisations that excel in their commitment to equality and inclusion across all strands of diversity.
Emma Carson, HR Services Manager at SERC said, “We are delighted to be shortlisted for this prestigious Award. Legislation places a public duty on SERC with which we must comply. Still, we strive to go beyond our duty to ensure that our practice in diversity and equality is embedded in everything we do."
She added, “We embrace diversity, to attract and retain the best staff and provide the most accessible services to our students and clients. “We are committed to achieving diversity and equality of opportunity both as a large employer of people and a provider of education services. In practice, this means working to ensure that SERC is free from discrimination and do what we can to positively promote equality and diversity across the delivery of education and within our workforce.”
SERC has been shortlisted alongside Version 1 and Northern Ireland Water. Winners will be announced at a glittering black-tie Gala Awards reception and dinner, hosted by world-famous comedian Neil Delamere, at Titanic Belfast on Thursday 30 June 2022.
