The Students’ Union (SU) has been overwhelmed by the response of the entire SERC Community to the developing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. Your SU, supported by curriculum teams, are coordinating a wide range of activities and events to support those effected by this crisis. There are three main ways that you can help in our campaign:

1. Donate

It is vital that we support the immediate and basic needs of people.  We are working in partnership with the Red Cross to raise vital funds to provide food, water, first aid, shelter, warm clothes, and medicines. The Red Cross teams will ensure that aid is directed to all who need it in the areas most affected by war. If you wish to donate, please follow the link to our JustGiving page. Any contributions big or small are greatly appreciated.

SERC SU is fundraising for The British Red Cross Society (justgiving.com)

2. Collect

Our Uniformed Services students in Bangor will be doing a collection for various items on Friday 4th March 11am – 2pm in the reception area.

Any donation is welcome and much needed. Items which are currently required include-

  • Thermal blankets, sleeping bags, sleeping mats
  • Care products: body washes, toothpastes, toothbrushes, hair brushes
  • Hygiene products: towels, tampons, panty liners, cotton wool, baby wipes
  • Bedsheets, bed covers, pillows
