SERC Governing Body Member Gareth Hetherington Attends MBE Investiture

South Eastern Regional College’s (SERC) Governing Body member, Gareth Hetherington, recently attended his MBE investiture at Windsor Castle, where he was presented his medal from King Charles III. Gareth received a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for his services to Further Education and the Economy.  

As a member of the college’s Governing Body since2013, Mr Hetherington has made a significant contribution to the Governance of the College, bringing strengths in a range of areas including public accountability, analytical and strategic thinking as well as a detailed understanding of the role of Further Education in the economy.  

Talking about his experience, Gareth said: “I still feel as privileged as the day I received the news.”
