SERC Beauty Students Host ‘Feel Good Look Good’ Event

The students hosted the event as part of their Project Based Learning project in conjunction with the College’s Time to Talk events.  

Held in the De Courcey Beauty Salon at the College’s Downpatrick campus, the students provided a range of services to attendees including mini back massages, facials and manicures along with the use of the spa facilities. Light refreshments were also served after treatments. 

Those who booked appointments were asked to bring along a dry food donation on the day to support local food banks. Staff enjoyed the chance to unwind in a relaxing environment while supporting their mental health and wellbeing. 

A staff member, who wished to remain anonymous, that attended the event commented, “I got the mini back massage in the Salon and the treatment was amazing! The Beauty Team also provided a friendly relaxed atmosphere with tea, coffee, cold drinks and other delights after the treatment. Thank you for the opportunity and well done to the students for a professional, enjoyable experience.”
