five students celebrate results at Lisburn Campus

SERC is celebrating the success of hundreds of students who have received outstanding BTEC qualifications following one of the most challenging years. Many students had extra reason to celebrate by achieving triple distinction stars (D*D*D*) which is the equivalent to 3 A* grades at A Level.  Student success included:

Pictured above (L – R) Ricardo Mexas (18) from Dromara who achieved Triple Distinction Stars on the Pearson BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music and is progressing to Queen’s University Belfast to undertake a Bachelor in Music; James McCluskey (19) from Hillsborough, achieved Triple Distinction Stars in the Pearson BETC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering and is heading to Ulster University to study for a BEng in Engineering Management; Megan Jess (19) from Dromore also achieved Triple Distinction Stars on the Pearson BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Applied Science and is progressing to Ulster University to do a BSc in Biomedical Science; Amber Cairns (18) from Moria, achieved Double Distinction Stars on the Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Animal Management and is progressing to SERC’s HNC in Animal Management; and Erin Belshaw (19) from Ballynahinch also achieved Double Distinction Stars on the Pearson BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts. Erin is changing direction and progressing to study Health and Social Care with SERC.

Congratulations to all our students who completed courses at all levels.
