Research Skills Sessions in the LRC

To enhance student research skills, the SERC LRCs are offering half-hour ‘Research Skills’ sessions for FE students.  

The two types of sessions are: 

• Plagiarism and Referencing for FE: This session will give students an introduction to what plagiarism is as well as its consequences. Students will learn about Harvard referencing and how to use it in assignments, as well as how to use several referencing tools and learn about Turn It In, an online plagiarism checking software. 
• Introduction to AI for FE: This session will give students an introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI), as well as instructions on how to use AI like Chat GPT. Students will also learn about AI’s limitations and how to use referencing in relation to AI for assignments.
