Renshaw Visit Helping to Mould The Bakers of the Future

South Eastern Regional College (SERC) recently welcomed Francezka Bell and Dan Harrison of Renshaw to the college to deliver a fondant icing masterclass.

Renshaw is a company that has over 120 years experience in baking and cake decorating expertise, product innovation and inspiration, so this was a great opportunity for the next generation of baking professionals to learn, adapt and grow their skillset from a fondant icing expert.

Renshaw have also donated icing to help the students in their cake decorating which is particularly invaluable in this time of rising costs and allows us to give our students the best opportunity to develop their sugar craft skills.

Dan Harrison from Renshaw spoke about his visit to the college “Both Franceska and I thoroughly enjoyed our day supporting the students of SERC.  It is a great pleasure to see so many young students embracing the cake decorating world and we look forward to our next visit.  Until the next time, keep up the great work.”

Ruth Doherty lecturer in Hospitality and Catering said “It was fantastic to welcome Francezka and Dan to the college for their insightful and helpful fondant icing masterclass. The opportunity to bring in industry professionals is great and highly beneficial to our students as learning from highly skilled, knowledgeable, and accomplished industry experts not only helps the students’ confidence, skill set and understanding but also helps to inspire them in their prospective careers.
