Rachel Pepper (20) completed her GCSEs at Dromore High School before coming to SERC to do a BTEC Level 3 in Travel & Tourism. From there she progressed to the HNC Travel & Tourism at the College’s Lisburn Campus.
Rachel said, “I did go along to a few of the open days at SERC before I decided to enrol. I had heard good things about the College from friends who had studied there and decided it would be a good option for me.
“I really enjoyed the Travel and Tourism course as there was plenty of variety and we got to visit major tourist attractions and places of interest like the Giants Causeway and Dublin City. I also made lots of new friends during the course and took on the role of Class Rep with my classmate Gary.
“I could not recommend SERC enough to anyone who is considering enrolling. The tutors are excellent, and they have helped me to reach my full potential, encouraging me to further myself in my career. They are very supportive and interested in each student inside and outside of the College.”
On completion Rachel plans to progress to the BSc (Hons) International Travel and Tourism Management at Ulster University.
