One of the many highlights of the academic year at SERC is the Project Based Learning (PBL) Enterprise Showcase which gets underway tomorrow.

From 11.00am to 1.00pm, students in Downpatrick (Sports Hall) and Newtownards Campuses (designated rooms and spaces), will be the first to present their solutions to real world issues and problems under this years’ overarching theme: Innovating for a Sustainable Future.

For anyone who hasn’t experienced the buzz of the PBL Enterprise Showcase, it is an opportunity to see how students from different courses have interpreted the theme and worked together to present their ideas – and of course, beat the competition.  It is a challenge. The small seed of an idea might develop into something bigger, but the biggest benefits of this week include the fact that you are learning to work as part of a team, increasing your confidence, your communication and your problem-solving skills.. You are building skills for future studies, for work and for life.

Tomorrows PBL Showcases will be followed by sessions in Bangor Campus on Wednesday 11th, and Lisburn Campus on Thursday 12th September.

Important Reminder:Every group must create a portal page and display their unique portal ID code at the expo. This will enable the judges to input feedback accurately and easily identify the projects.

Good luck everyone!
