Students who currently study a level 3 further education course or a higher education course are being offered the chance to gain their GCSE qualifications in Maths and English.
Annette Dixon Deputy Head of School for the School of Health, Early Years and Adult Education spoke about the upcoming courses and the opportunity for students “If you’ve achieved your level 2 literacy or numeracy while at SERC; very well done. While you are still with us, why not consider taking the next step by completing your GCSE English or Maths this year? The classes are being offered to existing SERC students only and will primarily be on-line using Microsoft Teams, where you will get 3 hours tuition. Please be advised, the class is currently being set up and we are gathering interest”
Alice McGirr will be the GCSE Maths tutor, and Judith Getty will be the GCSE English tutor. Both tutors are the point of contact and will invite interested parties into a Microsoft Teams class next week. If you are interested or would like to find out more please contact:
Judith Getty – JGetty@serc.ac.uk
Alice McGirr – Amcgirr@serc.ac.uk
