Today's one minute CPD will focus on Microsoft teams. Below lists quick, easy tips and trick to help you navigate this platform with ease.
1. Forward an email straight into a Teams channel
- Click on the “…” next to the channel name, and click on “Get email address”.
- Copy this email address, and use it to forward attachments or messages straight from your Outlook to your team
2. Keyboard shortcuts
When navigating any platform, keyboard shortcuts offer an efficient, easy way to navigate. Microsoft Teams also uses shortcuts.
Here are few you can try:
- Press “ALT+A” to attach a file to a message (Option-A on Mac)
- Press “CTRL+E” to enter search (COMMAND+E on Mac)
- Press “CTRL+N” to start a new chat (OPTION+N on Mac)
3. Assign roles within Teams meetings
You can assign roles to individuals within meetings (Presenter and Attendee)
Presenters have full rights, while attendees are more controlled. To change roles, choose “Meeting options”, and create the settings. You can also do this within the meeting, by selecting the participants and their role.
