NHS

The NHS in Northern Ireland is seeking volunteers to assist with the current emergency. The college fully supports this initiative and staff are encouraged to register.

Any time spent volunteering with NHS during your normal working hours will be credited towards your contractual working hours for that week and accordingly staff will not be required to be make up these hours at a later point. The normal provision applies that staff with responsibility for front line delivery must seek to organise any volunteering activity outside direct student contact.

If you are interested, please follow the following steps;

1. Register your interest by clicking here.

2. Complete the online CPD form in the Learning Engine and upload theVolunteering Request Form via My CPD online forms in the Learning Engine. You will receive confirmation when the request has been approved.

3. Confirm with your line manager when you are notified of a start date and on a weekly basis thereafter, notify your line manager of the number of volunteering hours undertaken by completing and submitting the form available at the following link. Volunteering Hours Certification.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact any member of the Learning Academy.
