Action Mental Health will be delivering Virtually Mindful Manager – Working at home to keep a focus on Wednesday 23 September 2020 11.00 am to 11.40 am.

The session will be to help Managers for staff working at home with tips on managing staff, approaching conversations with staff around mental health issues and how to support the individuals.  The session will last around 40 minutes and is split into two parts:

Part one looks at:

  • Introducing stress, what is it and how best to understanding the difference between healthy pressure and stress.
  • The effect that COVID-19 is having on mental health across the UK, this will help us build a picture of the effect that this can have on ourselves as well as what are staff might be experiencing.
  • Some top tips on getting the most out of managing your team when working from home and looking after yourself.

Part two will focus on:

  • Strategies for supporting mental health, we’ll look at how often staff talk about their mental health, and how you can approach the conversation.
  • The Mindful Manager model, which is a really simple and practical tool that you can use to guide your conversations and support.
  • Sources of support and 10 minute Q&A.
