SERC’s Learning Academy has an established TEL Pedagogy Mentoring Team since 2011 and to date over 500 staff have completed the mentoring programme. Their mentoring scheme showcases how technology-based learning can enhance teaching and learning. The team also provide Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to staff through a selection of webinars such as “Moodle Monday”, “Webinar Wednesday” and “1-Minute CPD”.

SERC Head of Learning Academy, Paula Philpott said, “I am thrilled that our team have been nominated for the Community Choice Award. The staff who make up the Pedagogy Mentoring team are a group of brilliant teachers from a wide range of subject areas at SERC who work tirelessly to offer support to their fellow colleagues to allow them to create innovative practice in the classroom.

"Our digital strategy combines data, people, systems and technology to enhance student and staff engagement throughout the College. The success of our approach to TEL and CPD has been so well received that it has created opportunities for us to take our training worldwide to areas such as Asia, Africa and Europe to strengthen the programme through internationalisation.”
